Senorita Adams is a great teacher, she's very passionate about Spanish and genuinely loves the topic. But her class can be kind of hard if you are not good at Spanish/have a hard time comprehending the language. You'll have to study a lot but she's always willing to help. Honestly, if you work hard you'll be fine, many people just don't try at all in the class then complain when they don't pass with an A, but if you put in the work and pay attention in class you'll be fine

*Note: I had him online We wrote essays after finishing a book or while reading a book. He would assign us a short answer type of thing that was about the book and what we learned in class. My advice is just to do the assigned reading since it really isn't that much and you can know what's happening in the next class.

There are lots of hands-on parts to the class which you should definitely take advantage of because they really help. Always ask her questions because she will always answer even right before a test. Her tests tend to be pretty long and have a lot of labeling involved. Also if you participate or engage with her you'll get on her good side. She doesn't do participation but asking questions is really important.

For Apush: If you are serious about the ap test you really have to study on your own. Otherwise, it's a really easy class. He's definitely the easiest apush teacher. He does mainly SAQs for tests and some multiple choice. He is super chill and really doesn't care what you do in class. Most of the class is just lectures and you should really take notes. He says to read the textbook and if the ap test is important to you, you probably should, but otherwise, you can get a good grade without reading it. He's really lenient on late work too.

Treasure her. Mrs. Caddy is one of the best teachers you'll ever have. I'm currently a Junior and I had her one year in freshman English, and I still talk to her. If you have issues with essay writing or anything go up to her in break or tutorial and she'll be more than glad to help you. Also, develop a relationship with her! If you're an AVID student, then talk to her! She'll be amazing for letters of rec in the future, and she's really fun to talk to. The class is all about learning, never about memorization. For Socratic seminars, she will rate you highly if you lead in with a real-world example, tie the book into a joke or anecdote!

The tests are, in no way, holistic. Memorize names, dates, places, wars, and take GOOD notes for any videos she shows you. Anything is fair game, even her tattoos and pet names (her cat's name is avery), although these are usually extra credit questions.

Everything on the quizzes are not necessarily reviewed in class, but it is in the chapter reading homework. The class itself, apush, is super easy. Its very important though that you keep up with it and spread out the reading homework or you will be stuck playing catch up all year like me. Mr Cook is super nice and pretty flexible and he gives you up to a week after the due dates to get chapter homework turned in. I felt very prepared for the AP test, we did saq's throughout the year and i feel confident on how i did on the ap test. he goes over everything and he has a sense of humor. We only spend like 10 seconds per topic and like 2 days on the whole civil war for ex, and then there are questions about it on the tests and saqs, but thats not his fault its an ap class and we don't have much time to go over eveything in detail. But yeah, just take notes, i would recomment making a google doc to put all your notes for the unit you are on it makes it much easier to find your notes in one place when you need info for saq study guides. Personally i don't like to take notes on paper in this class because everything goes by so fast so you don't have time to write everything, plus if you write it on a doc you can ctrl f and find things you need way faster 10/10 recommend. Make headings and subheadings on notes it will make your life so much easier, bullet points, don't just write what mr cook has on slides because all slides are on schoology anyways. Write what he is saying because the slides alone give you no useful information.

I took US History, so this is based off of that. The class is easy. No textbook, *minimal* homework, fun activities with your peers. It teaches a lot as well. Definitely good for someone who wants to learn but doesn't want to stress over grades or credits. Extra credit is a flowing fountain if you answer questions in class or do her bidding (I've been asked to fix curtains, vacuum the class, post flyers - I know, I was desperate, okay? ). Yes, there is a lot of writing in the notebook but I think most can handle that. If you make any kind of effort, you'll get the grade you want and you'll learn history as well. Win-win?

She is super nice and will do a lot to accommodate you. The anatomy class is very difficult, It involves a lot of memorization, and the textbook will be your best friend. She does tests often and usually, they are multiple-choice and FRQs. Her finals aren't cumulative but they are difficult. You also do a fair amount of discussions too. There are a couple of labs (including one with your own blood) and some other activities. The class is fun as long as you keep up and pay attention. She is pretty serious about late work so definitely keep up or you'll fall behind quickly.

photo isn't a super easy class and paul can be crabby but it's a class that you will definitely always remember. it's easy to fall behind and really difficult to catch up. also if anyone sees this tell him I miss his class. also TAing for him is pretty fun too. also i realize i said also like a ton of times. :)

He doesn’t do regular testing (there are no memorization or written answers). His ‘assessments’ are basically a conversation between you and him where you explain what you know about the subject. If you respect him and the class and do what you’re supposed to, it’s nearly impossible to get anything less than a %100 in his class.

Lots of homework and the class goes by very fast, just make sure to review the notes and overall her class is very hard. But she is always there if you need to meet with her after school or during lunch for more help.

The reading tests and listening tests are pretty easy, never really needed to study for them but be well prepared for the writing tests by practicing responding to prompts that are related to the topic of the unit and all the past in class writing and speaking prompts. The questions on her daily slides are basically the same as her writing and speaking tests so go back and review those. The class is very French based, she will mostly speak in only French unless she has complicated instructions so be ready for that.

Mr King is funny like he just says random stuff out of no where. People fall asleep in his class and go on their phones and he doesn't really care. For the most part ap lang is alternating between reading a novel and learning essay writing techniques. But the novel work is hella easy. The finals are usually just really short fill in the blank quizzes about book analysis and we rarely have homework for the book except to read it. We take notes on ap daily videos in class, so take notes on those. Take notes when he lectures too because everything he says is on the tests. he talks a lot though. Definitely try your best on the essays because he usually gives a lot of feedback. Its definitely. He is really strict with deadlines and does not accept any late work unless you're absent. All classwork is due in class. Use your time wisely. Don't wait till the last minute. Honestly if you do good or bad on the essays really depends on the prompts you get, like for rhetorical analysis in class i got a 92 compared to 75's i used to get, but there was a lot i could say for the prompt, but for the ap test i just bombed the rhetorical analysis so practice a lot. You will eventually get better just practice annotating texts and looking for devices and patterns. And the main thing i will say for the ap test is you need to practice annotating and getting the main idea for sources faster. If you are meticulous and a slow worker like me you will run out of time, which i did. But overall take away from this class: language and comp is a super interesting subject and you will get better at it if you participate, use your time in class wisely or you'll end up with a ton of homework.

-write to how she wants it to sound. use your very first essay you write and look at her corrections. improve your writing with her corrections. not saying at all that her corrections are helpful or reasonable, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do lol -sound as meaningful and overanalyz-y as you can in your responses. -don’t have messy papers or turn in any writing assignments that have large marks from scratching out words (learned that the hard way) Poetry 180 is gruesome to participate in, but it’s not hard to get those 5 points in easy

I was really scared at first given the way he introduced himself and the class, but he turned out to be really nice and genuinely care about his students. It isn't an easy A and there is quite a bit of writing (yes, homework in PE), but if you pay attention, do your work and be respectful, you'll be fine. A tip- do as much extra credit as you can. It really helps. Overall, it's a really fun class, even if you don't realize it at first.

For pre-calc: The way she explains things is not the best, pretty much everyone I know in the class studies a lot on their own or has a tutor. Mrs. Nguyen is really nice and will answer questions. She mainly uses WebAssign and for participation, she uses a form that you have to fill out. Definitely always participate because it costs a lot of points if you don't.

Try your best. Always try to remember key formulas and all required theorems. Be sure to write down notes during his notes/explanation portion of his classes. Test material may feature problems that are harder or a mixture of units to create a large challenge problem.

Tests are extremely important. When I took him, they were graded out of 4, yes FOUR points, which made it easy to fail. There was homework daily, so keep up with that. I think you'll only succeed if you genuinely like chemistry.

Religiously take notes. These will come in EXTREMELY handy the day before a test. If you're in Honors, it's not as bad, but in AP, there's so many formulas and concepts that you need a place to put it all neatly and concisely. I learned from experience, by underperforming on the first few tests.

Take great notes!! You are allowed to use your notebook for all tests and quizzes, so pay attention during slide lectures and in your own time add additional info. Write the answers to the lesson guiding questions in the notes since you are allowed to use them. Add in models too!! Bio is overall very easy

Do your homework. It isn't a weighted grading scale, so not doing a 10-point homework assignment has the same impact as getting 10 points taken off a test. I personally did well on the essays and managed to get As on them, but had some classmates who would get Ds and Cs- I think polishing your writing plays a key role in this. Immature sentence structure or weak statements are an immediate deal-breaker. The final isn't terrible, as long as you pay attention in class you shouldn't need to study- reviewing your notes is sufficient. Complete the homework assignments thoroughly and use class time. She does read your responses.

Easy Notecards is a godsend. All of the tests come from the flashcards by someone named "powell_h". These are AP style questions that are good to prepare with for the AP Biology Exam, so they're a good study resource.
