What advice would you give yourself if you were just starting the class now?

Do your homework. It isn't a weighted grading scale, so not doing a 10-point homework assignment has the same impact as getting 10 points taken off a test. I personally did well on the essays and managed to get As on them, but had some classmates who would get Ds and Cs- I think polishing your writing plays a key role in this. Immature sentence structure or weak statements are an immediate deal-breaker. The final isn't terrible, as long as you pay attention in class you shouldn't need to study- reviewing your notes is sufficient. Complete the homework assignments thoroughly and use class time. She does read your responses.
