Class of 2029

I was really scared at first given the way he introduced himself and the class, but he turned out to be really nice and genuinely care about his students. It isn't an easy A and there is quite a bit of writing (yes, homework in PE), but if you pay attention, do your work and be respectful, you'll be fine. A tip- do as much extra credit as you can. It really helps. Overall, it's a really fun class, even if you don't realize it at first.

Had him for 2 years in weights. Get on his good side and your life will be so much easier. Weights was so fun and he's very laid back and lets the lead students do everything. If you're in freshman PE, idk what he's like, but take student weights with him. The only downside is that there's a final about anatomy and physiology and various things that we learned about training others, supplements, etc. during the year. The final is easy if you study a little though.

It is easy to stay on Mr. Matthews good side; just don't goof off. I was very surprised when he gave us a WRITING assignment since it was a PE class. But that was about it. You can't do the bare minimum in his class, but I would advise you to fake it 'till you make it. His freshman PE class wasn't as laid back as the others, but it was manageable.

Mr. Matthews has a sense of humor and did a good job of getting the class to listen. His PE class was a a little more physically demanding than the other freshman PE classes, but it was manageable.
