Class is not hard if you pay attention. He covers everything you need to know on the test and usually uses questions that will be on the test. Participation is a big factor and you should always be trying to raise your hand when he asks questions. Tests are easy if you paid attention. Projects aren't hard too and if you know people in the class you should be fine.

Don't get sick, you will pay for your absences (personal experience). Try to get a helpful senior to help you (the only way I survived) and learn some CAD before if you can even though this is technically an introductory class. Prepare to give up your advisories and FLEXs to work on projects with unpredictable deadlines.

This is an easy A class, and follows a "Live and Let Live" philosophy. I only have experience with her as a student in her Geometry class, and she is incredibly nice and sweet. As long as you do the homework, you should always be scoring above 90% in her tests and quizzes. The problems are of similar difficulty, but in many cases, are easier than the homework. You aren't required to memorize proofs but you should know how to use them in order to prove a geometric solution. If you truly are dumb, she will give you the answers to the questions during the examination.

Sr. Domingo is a very kind and funny teacher. I personally didn't really like his teaching style, but I still learned the content of the class. If you want to get a good grade in his class, just pay attention and add funny tidbits in your dialogos/minicuentos (mentions of monkeys and being drunk is your best bet). If you need help or are struggling, don't hesitate to reach out to him.

Mrs. Fields is literally so amazing, I cannot emphasize heavily enough how good she is. If you pay attention and ask questions, you will get an A easily. There are no tests, so most of the grade is writing-focused, but the workload is minimal. Always available to answer questions, and is extremely fun. You can do a lot of interesting things with your assignments and have fun with it, and still get an A.

Mr. Fraser is an amazing teacher - his lectures are often long, but provides a lot of info for essays - helpful when you need help on essays - finish your homework on time - quizzes are multiple choice and usually easy - finals are mcq based on easy questions and basic knowledge from books read in the semester

Mr. Goulet is a really laid back and chill teacher. His room is always calming, and it's a very nice environment to be in. You usually don't have much homework unless you have a project due. The classwork is really easy if you look at the slides on your own and answer the questions. Also make sure to not procrastinate. He is very generous with extra credit, so make sure to take advantage of extra credit opportunities. I learned a lot in his class, and it was really fun, so don't stress to much.

It's a language class so you gotta do a fair bit of actual studying or youll fail. We did a lot of projects which honestly saved my grades from my horrid tests/quiz scores. Theres a good amount of extra credit opportunity by participating or doing extra which you should always take cause you'll probably need it.

Her classes are difficult and she will assign work everyday. Be prepared to do a lot of writing and annotations if you want the A. It is not too much effort to pass the class, but a lot of effort for a good grade. Must do well on essays if you want a good grade.

You walk in, take notes, do one or two homework problems together, then last 20 minutes do some homework and he lets you listen to music. One of my favourite classes and teachers. If you needed help he was available before school and during lunch and will help you if you ask. If there were harder homework questions he would do one and show us how it was done. He gave two different test versions and would go through it afterward so you understood what and why you got something wrong. He gave easy extra credit if you attached your notes to your homework, had a new pun every day, and was overall a chill and helpful guy. He does get mad though if you mess around too much or don't pay attention

Ms. Kamal's class is very intensive and self-paced, meaning a LOT of the work you do is gonna be on your own time (simply because of how APENG works; it's mainly all self-practice and you can't really "learn" how to do it just by reading a textbook). I'm one of her students that took it during virtual learning (b/c of covid) for AP English Language so I'm not sure how different her class is in person but I'd imagine it would be even harder. Not all of the test material is reviewed in class; she doesn't really tell us how to do the MCQ so unless you're really good at questions like the SAT reading and writing questions you're pretty much on your own. Not much homework is given but there are maybe 1-2 essays given every 1-2 months or so. The essays are HEAVILY weighted in her class. A lot of the practice for the APENG essays are gonna be for yourself. If you practice consistently by yourself though you'll be fine. She's also really good with office hours though so if you ever do practice essays and want some guidance/grading/etc she gives really good advice so make sure to go to her office hours. Also, not sure if it's because of virtual learning but participation was worth 35%(!!! ) of your grade in first semester so it was a BIG part of the gradebook; many students in first semester don't bother participating that much (and still second semester even though it's only worth 10%) and it takes a huge toll on their grades, so make sure you participate daily. However, Ms. Kamal does teach a lot of other stuff besides just prepping for the exam (which is good because it would be boring if we just did ap prep the entire year) and that was really insightful and interesting in terms of the class discussions we had. Overall, I'd rate this class in terms of difficulty an 8/10 but her overall teaching a 10/10.

Make sure to review the day's lesson and past lessons within the unit when you get home, because you never know when you'll have a One-Question-Quiz (they are called "OQQ's") which is either you get full credit (10/10) or no credit (1/10).

She will ask "trick" questions, but more often than not, you will have to study the material in depth and actually understand the whole process of a system. As long as you can fully understand the concept, you will be fine. If you even have the SLIGHTEST question that is a "what if.. " then there is a good chance that will be on the quiz/test, so MAKE SURE to ask Ms Lee for help, she is willing to help!

Mr. Lehnert's tests are all about understanding that material that he teaches in class. So I would suggest that you pay attention and take really good notes. His tests are always essay type questions and there are no right or wrong answers as long as you explain your thinking with what you learned in class and it makes sense. His style of teaching is very different when compared to other teachers I've had (in a good way) which was probably why I enjoyed his class very much. I think I learned a lot from his class when compared to any other class. I strongly suggest you ask a lot of questions during class so you understand everything so you can do well on tests.

Class is easy if you actually somewhat listen to her during her long lectures, if you submit everything she assigns you are GUARANTEED a B if not close to an A. She'll get mad at you if you procrastinate your projects because you're given way too much free time. There is no homework and you do everything in class.

very easy class with little homework. tests are super easy but there is no review given in class for them. he rarely curves unless most people do bad but you never really need it. lectures are detailed but i didn't find them necessary and after the lecture, it's a free class to do other work.

This is a class that follows, according to my perspective, the "Live and Let Live" mantra. I had him for AP U. S. History and We The People afterwards, however, this post will focus exclusively on my experience with him for the former. He is a man that is poking his head in many different areas all at once, so be mindful of that whenever you approach him with any question or clarification. His class primarily follows the following structure: 1. Quizzes: These are about 5-6 question quizzes which are from the weekly reading. They are generally easy if you read the text carefully but on occasion, the questions become similar to "What is the punctuation point most frequent on Page 42? ". This is obviously hyperbole, but I would recommend that you read the text analytically and carefully. If you do bad on a quiz, don't worry. There are 20-25 quizzes per semester. 2. Homework: The notes on the chapter. He simply grades them based on completion of the task, then what is written on them. 3. Tests: They are very infrequent, and if you know the content well, you should always have a grade between 85-90% for his tests. This is a class where people ridicule you if you have a B+ or A-.

You will have to read a lot, do a lot of essays, and do some group activities. Homework is okay but is very time-consuming. She does good in preparing you to write good essays. If you are not a very good writer it will be difficult to get an A in the class. You are almost guaranteed a B if you actually listen to her feedback.

My experience with him was as a student in his regular chemistry class. It is a normal class. His quizzes and tests are of medium difficulty, and if you review your notes and worksheets carefully, you should be receiving a grade between a B+ and A. There are no curveballs in this class, and he is very straightforward with what he expects of you. Write down whatever he scribbles on the board, and do the labs meticulously. If you follow the lab report template precisely, you should always be receiving an A or A+ for the lab assignment. The quizzes are held every Wednesday and consist purely of questions from the notes taken on the preceding days. They are no more than 5 questions and are very basic. The mantra for this class is, "If you do as I say, you will receive an A".

This is a class that is not about fostering discussion about the themes of a novel or contemplating the intricacies of the English language but is purely about writing essays. Read the novels she assigns carefully and meticulously for the quizzes, and keep notes on major events that occur in the novel. Remember that everything in the class is mechanically geared towards assisting you in writing essays. Whenever you read the book, think about possible essay prompts and recurring themes, motifs, and symbols in the book. Do whatever you need to do to write good essays because that is what ultimately matters. I repeat, essays. Shall I repeat again? ESSAYS!

This class is more than often about understanding the concept, although the classwork and homework will be 1000x easier than the test and quizzes. Looking at past years reviews, they are correct, expect the unexpected. She will throw in questions that really test your understanding of the concept, and use khan academy and go to MT Learning Center (it is paid, but helps a lot) for additional resources. Also do not be afraid to ask her questions, she is really nice.

tests are super difficult and not very lenient in partial credit. no curving on exams and you need to do every single textbook problem to even have a chance of passing. weightage of tests is extremely high and not typical for a common core class. good luck you'll need it.
