For Canadian History 10, I would study the notes thoroughly. She really like testing your knowledge of key dates, like the year of Germany's surrender in WW2, the date of Nagasaki's atom bomb drop, etc. Also she sometimes gives bonus questions in tests, so I would recommend paying attention to random things discussed in class, EVEN IF SHE EXPLICITLY SAYS THEY WILL NOT BE ON THE TEST.
Everything he says is with wisdom and intelligence. Despite the strict personality, once you are in university you will understand why he was strict with you. Every math concept I learned in his class still renders as useful in my mind. He has a bad reputation, but it is unfounded. He is an amazing teacher and a great person.
