Ms. Berry is the best teacher I had at Brooklyn Tech- she truly cares about her students, and pushes them to succeed. The material is very difficult and fast-moving, however, so complete her homeworks on time and study for tests - deltamath is only helpful to gain a base understanding of a topic, but the questions are not at all similar to tests. Many difficult tests are curved slightly, so as long as you are on par with your classmates you should be fine. The pace and instruction in this class more than set me up for a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam.

When you get to class, be sure to ready your homework notes and any documents listed on the board, or just ask around (it would be stuff from the previous day). Group work takes up half of the time in class and half of it would revolve around research while the other half is about recalling information. Chernyshev is really lenient in grading homework, he will just ask some questions if your homework doesn't look right (a quick glance). Notes are easy to write as you paraphrase the paper he gives you or require simple Google Research. If you actually want to do learning in the Pre-APWH course. it will be underwhelming or tedious. Tests are fairly easy, You can talk freely most of the time but make sure that the voice level is below a certain point. To be honest, if you are great at smooth-talking, doing basic researching, or have a friend group in the class, a 90+ is extremely easy. The only thing that ruins the class academically is that Chernyshev sometimes becomes too carefree about the classroom environment, cheating circles are common, highly advise you to never cheat, he will call you out.

He does frequent quizzes about the books you read in the class, so dont slack or else you may fail the quiz. His class aims toward understanding ourselves more and "whats the meaning of life". Mr. D class is super fun, but some kids get low grades because his class requires you to always do your best. He doesn't bull around, so dont try to make up excuses for not doing your assignments. In Entrena’s [Spanish Level III Class] (1) When you come to class you will have to complete the Hagan Ahora (Do Now) to the best of your abilities everyday, after all you are reviewing the material from the day before. (2) Even if you are not sure what the answer is, she will not penalize you for trying. (3) Major Assessments include Projects and Exams. The projects are an extra chance to get your grade up if you did bad on an exam. One of the projects is to film a 3min+ video of you cooking a recipe in your culture. Although it was challenging, it is all just to help us practice speaking the language. (4) Her class moves somewhat quickly in the beginning of the year. Don’t worry because it will slow down. You will get many opportunities to practice your oral, listening, writing, and reading comprehension skills through the Classwork and Homework. (5) Throughout the year, you will get seat changes. If you are struggling in the class, she will notice and automatically move you towards the front of the class. This is for your benefit, as in my experience, I got the extra attention I needed to help me catch up.

Work mostly consisted of worksheets or notetaking, though none of the knowledge was really absorbed. Homework was incredibly tedious, done on a website and usually a waste of time. Incredibly stressful class considering how simple the subject actually is. You would probably have to study on your own time to understand everything.

Chem as a class itself is not difficult per se, but is very much about knowledge and memorization. The material that Mr. G provides is in many forms (i. e CK12, Castle Learning). Other than those two things, his tests will be harder than the regents. Lets assume I got a 92 in the class, I recieved a 93 on the regents, so it works out. At the end of the spring semester he will offer 5 points if you complete 10x 50 question castle learning assignments. My advice? DO THEM... They are "optional" but are SUPER helpful.

Do the online assessments with friends, as the stuff on there is always completely unrelated to what is learnt in class. Make sure to pay attention to what he says he will take points off on- whether you didn't dimension outside of an object, or if you didn't do 3 modifications to your object. Make sure to also take advantage of the participation opportunities he offers in class. If you have the class 1st period, get there early as it bites into that participation grade aswell. He will let you make up work you did wrong to bump up your grade a few points. Overall an ok teacher, just talks too much and about things irrelevant to the lesson.

He's very... interesting. He is HUGE on AI abuse and will penalize you based on NOT your actual work, but you as a person. This is NOT a fair system. His tests are easy, his books are neat. His end-of-year project was fun. You can easily get a 90 or above if you try hard enough to not fall asleep in class.

Honestly, the class isn't so rigorous or difficult that you have to spend a longer time than usual behind it. Just be sure to keep up with your work and participate. Lederer's really nice to you if you show effort in his class, follow instructions, and keep up with submitting your work adequately- just like any other teacher. So just do your work and show some enthusiasm in the class, and participate!

I took her Calc AB class but I heard she also teaches Algebra and is part of the Math team. She's a very hard worker and you can tell that she's somewhat married to her job which advantages you. She offers a lot of help and posts videos almost every day after school for more expansion on the lessons taught in class. Her class during school though is VERY VERY difficult. She doesn't waste a thing minute in the period and teaches fast. You need to get used to her pacing in the first couple of weeks to survive her class. She comes off passive-aggressive so don't EVER disturb her teaching to ask questions. Wait till she's done with everything. She's very nice outside of class though.

I took his forensics class during his first year of teaching and it's the best. You do a lot of group work so it depends on your group for how fun the class is. But don't worry he changes groups after every major project. He's probably the best teacher you'll ever have. You can have almost any conversation with him and he's very open to all his students. Don't use the worksheet she gives before tests in order to study for the test. Instead, look at the worksheets she assigned before, the test practice material is often twice as easy as the test. Also, the deltamath is easy and hard at the same time and she mainly checks for completion in the textbook homework.

Try ur best to keep up and don't slack off on a topic. It's okay to not finish all your homework on the same day, and there are always opportunities for extra credit. This teacher does give A LOT of homework each day, and it might take a bit of time if you procrastinate, but it's helpful for recollecting facts.

No actual tests given, the most you'll get is 2-4 writing things that are specific to a certain subject, so pretty easy. Gives lots of a hw passes, and she usually gives daily hw (not over breaks), but they take like 20-35 mins. Gives extra credit too

I had Mr Silverman for sociology and it was one of my favorite classes I took at tech! Pay attention in class, review the notes he gives out and write down and review all the questions from jeopardy before tests and you will be good. Do NOT leave his papers until the last minute. The class is fun so enjoy it!!!!

Typically these classes are lecture heavy and I would recommend learning how to take good notes. Often things that seem unimportant or were only briefly covered show up on a test but typically if you study the main material you will get along fine.

If you want to review the topic or lesson that you learned for the day I urge you to do the focus questions. Its a great review for the day and when you come to study for exams. If you need help Mr. Trombetta is very easy to ask he explains everything clearly, so don't be shy. Also, don't worry about the regents or AP exam trust me you'll be prepared. We all thought we weren't ready but you'll be prepared. He gives a huge review packet and empty review sheet which you can get extra credit for. He gives around 2 museum trips to the MET for extra credit along with a project. the end of the year will be a lot of fun. You'll get to make a propaganda poster for sure and maybe a world cultures project which was really enjoyable.. Anyways, good luck and enjoy your year with Mr. Trombetta!

Ms. VIsbal is one of the most relaxed teachers I've ever had. At first it might seem like you won't be prepared, but the closer you get to exam day, you realize how better off you are in her class. While the rest of my friends were stressing out about their own teachers and classes, I was calmly going through my day. I got a 5 on the AP, and didn't get grey hairs in the process. Like any class, do the work assigned and you'll be fine. She assigns fun activities, and actually values your mental health. I wish she was a guidance councilor, honestly. Furthermore, she's one of the only teachers in the school who cares about the issues in the building. Thanks for being my English teacher, Ms. Visbal!

The class has a lot of homework every single day. Almost 2 assignments per class, and every assignment usually requires a lot of writing. The assignments are usually a paragraph long and have a lot of reading involved. He takes a long time to check assignments though and usually grades them in clusters. And doesn't take off late credit, so if you leave the assignments off until later, as long as you do them before he checks them eventually, you won't get marked down.

I had Zanotto for Phys Ed in Freshmen Year. I can only speak for regular gym and weight lifting, though he claims that he's the best at teaching track. We follow the same exact protocol as any other class when changing for gym. When we get to the actual gym, expect to read the whiteboard for a DoNow assignment. He'll then make some announcements and we proceed to stretching exercises. Note that Zanotto loves to do squats and will test your push-up ability. We focus on a certain sport each marking period, just do put some effort and you'll do good in this class. Zanotto would give "quizzes" once in a while that tests your knowledge on sports (if your're not sports savvy, good luck in finding a partner that does). He also tests you on some sport culture stuff. For weight lifting class, we don't need to fill out any logs, its mostly just choosing what to improve on our own. Clean up afterwards as always and no one will get in trouble.
