Though her class is challenging, as long as you go to her for feedback for essay submissions and listen to her comments, you should be fine.

The class itself is not difficult. Make sure to pay attention to golden sentances and always do your homework - it counts for a good amount of you grade and its basically free points. Make sure to do the skills checks until you get full credit. These two things will ensure a solid foundation for your grade and minimize the amount of points you need to score on tests.

Redoing homework problems is enough to prepare you for tests in this class. Lecture slides are engaging, straightforward and summarize the key formulas/concepts you must master in each unit so practice resolving problems on the slides, in addition to homework problems, prior to taking unit tests.

Study the vocab, as you pass more into the school year you are expected to know vocab and grammar strcutures from previous chapters and lessons. In addition participate as much as possible as it counts for a decently large portion of your grade

It will take a lot of effort to get an A in this class due to the limited opportunities to earn points in the Assignments category, as well as the rigid standards required for in-class essays. Unfortunately, this class will be challenging for those who are not already proficient in their reading and writing skills. Be prepared for a lot of reading homework, most of which is unrelated to the AP Exam itself.

Labs are crucial (do not play around with them; they can make or break your grade). Actually study for tests; she is very meticulous when grading.

Homeworks consist of problems straight from the textbook, exams are very thorough often covering close to everything about the topic, classwork isn't too hard or too tedious as long as you pay attention in class. If you are having a hard time understanding the concepts and how to do certain problems directly from the teacher's lectures, then I would strongly recommend reading the assigned textbook. Also, during the first semester of the course, he has you memorize a lot of important foundational statistics vocabulary, but he has fun tricks to help you memorize them. However in second semester this is significantly reduced. Test material is also very quickly reviewed in class, so make sure to be vocal about what problems you missed. Exams are typically weighted more than assignments although there are A LOT of assignments.

PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. Mrs. Korsunsky does an amazing job explaining difficult concepts so if you are looking to do well on exams, as hard as it may be, you must pay attention to her lectures.

Remember to update your digital portfolio regularly as the semester progresses so that you are prepared to turn your portfolio in by the end of the semester. Reflections behind your art piece/processes should be specific and introspective. Kruk often offers lab hours throughout the semester to allow students to catchup/refine artworks, so make use of these opportunities. As long as you demonstrate that you care about your work, both written submissions and art pieces, Kruk will be more than willing to support you.

His lecturers are more interesting than the other teachers and he only talks about biology for like 1/2 of the class since he integrates it so well so if you cant listen to his lecturers, its pretty much 100% your fault. If you actually listen (his class is very engaging), you don't really need to study to pass pretty much every test with an A.

Make sure to understand the progression of different events and why they happened (He gives lots of questions about why something happened in multiple choice, and they tend to be pretty similar, but you need to know which factor influenced it the most). You don't have to remember every single date, but you do need to understand a general idea of when things happened in relation to each other; still know the super important dates if there is a significant event. If you pay attention in class when he lectures, you won't have to do as much studying outside of class. He was my favorite teacher, so just chill and do the work. Regarding the workload, 10th grade World History had an extremely good workload. It's usually up to 2 hours of actual work MAXIMUM for the entire week if you're efficient. Also, whatever materials he posts in the locker, READ ALL OF IT! It will help you so much in tests. to have more background information.

Rewatch the videos on his website to review for tests-they are super helpful. If you complete as many additional problems as possible in each section of the class textbook, you should be able to score well on unit tests. Mr. Taylor is also extremely encouraging and willing to explain confusing concepts, so reach out to him for help.

Essays are worth a considerable portion of your overall grade so make sure to practice. If you answer the prompt thoroughly and critically analyze the text, beyond merely listing devices, you will succeed in Mrs. Willson's class. Make sure to pace yourself while reading assigned books, quizzes are specific but not hard as long as you annotate while reading.
