Make sure to understand the progression of different events and why they happened (He gives lots of questions about why something happened in multiple choice, and they tend to be pretty similar, but you need to know which factor influenced it the most). You don't have to remember every single date, but you do need to understand a general idea of when things happened in relation to each other; still know the super important dates if there is a significant event. If you pay attention in class when he lectures, you won't have to do as much studying outside of class. He was my favorite teacher, so just chill and do the work. Regarding the workload, 10th grade World History had an extremely good workload. It's usually up to 2 hours of actual work MAXIMUM for the entire week if you're efficient. Also, whatever materials he posts in the locker, READ ALL OF IT! It will help you so much in tests. to have more background information.

Participation is very important in the class. Unless you participate extremely often, Mr. Roy will probably give you a C in the category. Pay attention during lectures because he doesn't give out the slides after and sometimes talks fast. He gives out study guides (basically a list of questions) before every major test, and they can usually be answered with class notes. Mr. Roy's World History class is generally considered the most difficult of all the World History classes, but if you study well, pay attention, and participate, you'll do fine.
