His lecturers are more interesting than the other teachers and he only talks about biology for like 1/2 of the class since he integrates it so well so if you cant listen to his lecturers, its pretty much 100% your fault. If you actually listen (his class is very engaging), you don't really need to study to pass pretty much every test with an A.

lots of memorization needed. don't fall back on the reading assignments (I know it's tempting, but they add up quickly). no extra credit, but you can choose between test corrections or dropping the lowest test and quiz grades per semester.

The class is so rushed and learning is hard

Study very very hard. Pallone rushes though his lessons or doesn't complete them at all so one has to do outside work online.

People complain biology is all memorization but if you understand whats going on, its really intuitive and simple. He also explains every concept and how it actually works like five times in different classes so you have no excuse to say that his class is hard and too memorization based. He also gives you pretty much all the information on the test and a comprehensive way to review anything if you need and the tests are very easy.

the teacher is really a fundamental part of the class. Pallone is great. he's always willing to help, whether it's during class or after school. some of his jokes are a bit questionable, but great teacher overall
