Homeworks consist of problems straight from the textbook, exams are very thorough often covering close to everything about the topic, classwork isn't too hard or too tedious as long as you pay attention in class. If you are having a hard time understanding the concepts and how to do certain problems directly from the teacher's lectures, then I would strongly recommend reading the assigned textbook. Also, during the first semester of the course, he has you memorize a lot of important foundational statistics vocabulary, but he has fun tricks to help you memorize them. However in second semester this is significantly reduced. Test material is also very quickly reviewed in class, so make sure to be vocal about what problems you missed. Exams are typically weighted more than assignments although there are A LOT of assignments.

The teacher is always encouraging you to come in during study hall hours if you need help. He is almost always available for you to ask questions. Class participation is very limited in that he rarely cold calls students to answer questions or asks an open question to the class. The participation grade mainly consists of your attendance, you attentive you are in class, and if you do the assigned work during class which he regularly checks.
