Math communication is very important, I've gotten so many points taken off tests because of it. Always do the revision/ formative quizes as they will help a lot with tests and give you an idea of your understanding of the unit.

Have fun whenever you have Colp. in LA 30 IB everything Is worth the exact same and colp expects your best work every time. If you need extra help he's literally always free (as long as he is not teaching). His class is fun and i highly recommend you participate in in-class discussions, not only are they fun, but in Colp's class, there is no such thing as a stupid question. He'll answer every question even if they've been asked before.

Study for the tests, as they are not the easiest, but not impossible. Memorisation of all formulas is not necessary, as a formula sheet will be given for every test, but it is still helpful to learn them.

Definitely do your extra reading and pay attention! One blink of an eye and the class is on a whole other chapter, so don't fall behind. He definitely pushes his IB kids harder - even the best students are feeling the pressure, so don't get discouraged! The content is fascinating - you can do it!

- focus on the position papers and source analysis' - depending on your teacher, writing assignments will be more important for your mark than the diploma. Try to get your grade as high as possible so no matter what you get on the diploma its still decent - broaden your horizons, dont just use the same case study. the more info you can prove you know, the better - become friends with a couple people in the class, because theres a lot of group projects

Mr. Mackinnon is really a wonderful person and a wonderful teacher. Though I would highlight or write little notes into the note book he gives you, it can be easy to overlook what the class has gone over and then realize you need to study it more and now you have to spend a couple minutes flipping through pages. Plus highlighting key notes makes the material easier to remember. His class is an easy 80 or higher along as you pay attention, ask questions or do your work. Essentially, just participate in the class and you will do fine.

MAKE SURE YOU COME PREPARED FOR HER CLASS. There is potential to do really really good in her class. However, this is only possible if you come prepared. Her class is extremely fast-paced, so it is very hard to catch back up if you fall behind. I had a spare with this class and I barely made it through. Her marking is very fair. If you work hard, it will be reflected in your mark. If you slack off, it will also be reflected in your mark.

Mme. Rahmani is the BEST TEACHER EVER. She’s sweet and caring of each and every one of her students. Don’t ever be afraid to ask Mme. Rahmani questions because she always has a detailed yet easy-to-understand answer. I had her for Chimie 20-1. But, once, she put aside a whole day for me and my friends to review diploma materials for Chimie 30-1... she wasn’t even my teacher for that year! Anybody lucky enough to have Mme. as their mentor is incredibly blessed. She is such. an. angel.

For band, practising everyday is very helpful. Learn the exercises, for it is extremely helpful. Your section is always there to help, so you can ask them for help, or you can ask Mr. Speers. When it is time for theory tests, it is a good idea to at least review, if not study. Theory is not my strong suit, so I study, but if theory comes easily to you, or you know it, I would suggest just reviewing.

Easy to learn and follow. Memorize definitions, especially if you don't know what they mean, they help in biology where there are various terms playing key roles in descriptions of cycles and processes. Know how to apply information to life situations. rather than strictly memorizing everything. Keep the booklets/notebooks to study from, there's a lot of information for one year. If something is hard to remember, drawing a picture that corresponds to the topic is very beneficial. If you want to be extra, rewrite key parts of the notes on a piece of loose-leaf paper.
