Take good handwritten notes, many tests/quizzes are open note and handwriting helps memorize which is very important to learning a foreign language. Challenge yourself with assignments and actually practice in class because it will help you improve. Also Canadian French keyboard is your friend!
The class is difficult. I had her both for AP Gov and AP Comp Gov, and both classes are challenging. Lots of memorization and practice is required to do well.
