Take good handwritten notes, many tests/quizzes are open note and handwriting helps memorize which is very important to learning a foreign language. Challenge yourself with assignments and actually practice in class because it will help you improve. Also Canadian French keyboard is your friend!

the pre-tests online are very helpful, especially for the culture parts. do not stress over tests they are pretty standard and if you pay attention in class you should be fine
