Time management is key! Whatever she says, she means it and it WILL help you succeed in her class. Especially in Honors English I, she creates tips of the day that help you in your future high school career as well as in her class. These tips of the day changed my life for the better so use them to your advantage, they have great value.

This class is so different than other english classes because it feels more like a group discussion then a teacher forcing you to do an analysis. In terms of succeeding, make sure you just pay attention during discussions and try to take any Mr. Becker course.

He's chill, but good luck if you're taking Honors English II. And I mean it. I hope you have 0 social life before taking this course, and if you do have a social life before taking this course... you won't have one after. YES... it's hard. There is reading and annotating. Yes... annotating. Every single page... for every single novel. PLEASE DON'T PROCRASTINATE. It will bite you back. He's a chill guy... but it's a big no-no if you think you can ask him for an extension. Not Happening. Idk about his other classes, but for Honors English, either just drop it... or manage your time.

Don't slack off in this class, as you'll find yourself trying to play catch up if you don't take it seriously. The course itself isn't too bad if you do the work required and do it to the best of your ability. Also, don't slack off for the midterm. It counts for 6% of your overall grade and it could screw you over at the end of the year. Thankfully, I copped an A overall due to the last two quarters and the final which made up for my B+ first q, A- second q and A- on the midterm. Do well the first "semester" and you should be set for the rest of the year

For MCLA, you learn very little. Your goal should be to memorize as much of the previous tests as possible. He does not teach. He does not help. I would strongly recommend not taking the class. For Physics C, you again learn very little from the class. He does not teach. He does not help. You should get an AP review book and study from that. The cumulatives (the only things that matter for your grade) are usually actual AP questions, so you don't really need to worry about the tests he gives. I would again, strongly recommend not taking this class.

Grades very reasonably, so if you got a bad grade it’s probably bc you actually did things wrong. You should definitely read through the ENTIRE unit before a test because the study guide most definitely won’t prepare you for everything on it. There’s a LOT of projects and writing involved and only a few days of actual note taking: you learn most things through projects or articles. Her tests mainly include a vocabulary section that’s dependent on memorization, following the multiple choice section and sometimes a short response or essay question at the end. As long as you pay attention and put in as much effort as possible, it’s not entirely difficult to receive a good grade in this class.

Stephen Dentler, 11th/12th Math/Computer Science

Mr. Dentler will often do tutorials for each project and will guide you with every classwork assignment. He believes that a student learns better if they have hands on experience rather than just throwing them a project rubric and having them figure it out themselves. He's extremely nice and really funny and no matter which class of his you'll take you'll always look forward to going everyday.

Ms. Drum is quite a tough grader. It's quite hard to get a 100% on any of her assignments. Make sure you include as many details as possible, and explain very thoroughly. In addition, if she tells you that someone is missing an assignment, and you don't hand it in within the next few minutes, she will single you out and call out your name in front of the class. Be wary!

If you don't pay attention at the start you will fall behind, lots of verb tenses and conditions need to be memorized by the end, but as long as you keep up with your work, it's very easy. I had a wonderful time during my 2 years with the class.

I had Mr. Hines for Honors US. Honestly, he's a chill person... besides the fact that he's loud. You will never be able to sleep in that class, so don't try, lol. The class itself is simple. His presentation are excellent... and he's a engaging teacher... not someone who just reads off the slides. I really loved his Socratic seminars, Easy way to earn points., Its difficult to fail his class... like you'd actually have to try... His tests are full of primary sources... which is a bit annoying, but you don't really have to memorize much. Just be good at reading 5 page documents on his tests, and answering one or two questions about the (hint... read the questions before... )

Free class, review the presentations she posts on google classroom before every test and it'll be a garunteed 100. You could low key get away with doing nothing in class as long as you get the projects/assignments done at home if it wasn't due in class. She often extends deadlines.

You’re expected to read and annotate about 1-2 chapters for each book. The first quarter is challenging, but it’s just because of the shift from MS to HS. For each book in the first three quarters, you have two surprise reading checks. For A Raisin in the Sun, do NOT annotate. Read, but DONT annotate. There are not annotation checks for this book, but there is one quiz that was towards the end of the book where most people did bad on, including people who read. There are many times that he will say “I’m going to make you guys do [x, y, z] for a grade, ” but he won’t grade a lot. I’ve realized that for online assignments, he only grades them if they have both a due date and a point-worth assigned to them. Also, please don’t be an idiot and think that an assignment worth 6000000 points is being graded. Despite how much work this class is, Noebels is an incredibly good man and you are truly missing out if you drop his class or ignore him.

Class is hard, but its super interesting - you won't be bored thats for sure. Be organized, make sure you have ALL your papers, If you're a freshie he'll be a lot stricter than if you're an upperclassmen. The tests are never anything new, and always rely on the math - unless it's completely against common sense.
