You have to study really hard in order to do even passable in this class, regardless of if you're in AP or Honors. There's always a ton of work to be done, and very rarely do tests directly relate to the material covered. Overall, you have to be working to do good in this class at all times.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Coming into this school year, my expectations were low. I knew that going to school online or only going into school for part of the week would be difficult but nothing prepared me for this class. I have always been good in my sciences. I’ve always loved learning about it. When I grow up I want to go into medicine, which science is a big part of. With that being said, I have grown to hate the subject. I am taking this honors chemistry class and I can say without a doubt, this is the most stressed out about school I have ever been. The other students in my class, whom I've bonded with over our confusion and unmotivation we have developed since beginning school, have compiled a list of traits we believe sum up this class as a whole. They are as follows. This course has proven time and time again that it is a toxic learning environment. The workload is almost triple compared to my other classes. We are constantly ridiculed for plagiarism and the use of the internet, but that is where she gets all of her assignments, word for word. You might be wondering why we feel the need to use the internet after we are told not to. It is because most times she gives us the assignment before teaching the lesson. It sounds ridiculous that someone would do that but it happens a lot. A few times now she has given us the test and then the next day gave us the study guide for the test. How are we supposed to know what to study if we aren’t given the resources beforehand? My grade has never been good in this class. I really want it to be but this teaching style just doesn’t work for me personally, and a lot of other people feel the same way. I strongly advise anyone taking this class to drop it, immediately.

This course if so much fun. You will learn so much about all different genres of music. McAllen focuses in on Musical Theatre and Opera but you learn about other genres as well. If you are in the FPAC Acting/Dance program, by the end of her class, you will be a great sight-reader, a well-rounded musician, and an all-around amazing performer.
