The class I took was a health class in 10th grade. It was extremely easy if you've ever taken a health class before and also quite dated because it was abstinence-only education in terms of the curriculum but everyone in the class talked about protection etc. It was a while ago but I remember the tests being quite easy and there was journaling every week or so which was fun depending on your perspective. Honestly, it was mostly a social class everyone had a good time. Oh also, this class is a semester class and paired with gym so hopefully the easy grade works in your favor.
For background information, I took pre-calculus with Ms. Ross (she teaches a lot of math at all levels) The class was really structured which I enjoyed because you know how you'll be graded and how to get points back and fix your grade etc. I'm not sure if this has changed since I took the class, but you were literally only required to do three homework problems and you graded yourself. Also, a random person had to go to the front of the class and talk about a homework problem I think. Ms. Ross gave out guided notes during this class which was really useful for the tests because there was always an example for each type of problem that could come up from simple equations to whatever the math concept happened to be in a word problem setting. Use her resources! Also, she usually allowed EITHER a calculator or a cheat sheet on tests.
Shepard's classes are an experience, and it's really useful to have taken a class with him before when going into a difficult class because his system is very unique. I took American History, Economics, and Civics in that order and Econ was by far my favorite. Each class has its own personality because the content obviously differs, but I would say the last two classes were significantly easier after taking history with Shepard. The tests are really hard and so are the papers, he definitely has his own style that he prefers and rarely gives out perfect grades. The advice that I would give for tests is to study your weekly quizzes really hard because quiz questions will always make up at least a third of the tests and probably help you with other questions. He's also really into dates, so make flashcards for dates because that will also make up a lot of tests and quizzes and can give you a safety net. His lectures have a really stream-of-consciousness style so your notes are probably going to be kinda scattered, sorry to those people who pride themselves on their instagram notes.
