For background information, I took pre-calculus with Ms. Ross (she teaches a lot of math at all levels) The class was really structured which I enjoyed because you know how you'll be graded and how to get points back and fix your grade etc. I'm not sure if this has changed since I took the class, but you were literally only required to do three homework problems and you graded yourself. Also, a random person had to go to the front of the class and talk about a homework problem I think. Ms. Ross gave out guided notes during this class which was really useful for the tests because there was always an example for each type of problem that could come up from simple equations to whatever the math concept happened to be in a word problem setting. Use her resources! Also, she usually allowed EITHER a calculator or a cheat sheet on tests.

Ms. Ross is a very smart teacher and it definitely comes across that way. She's quite sarcastic and has a sense of humor that might be an acquired taste but her class is so structured that your relationship with her doesn't make or break the class.
