1) British Literature obviously has a lot to do with LITERATURE. Hence, make sure you actually READ the books assigned. 2) LISTEN carefully to class discussions. If it’s glazed over, it’s probably going to be a multiple choice question on the test. 3) UNDERSTAND how to write a paper. You’ll be writing a paper based on “MELCON”s (you’ll know what those are) every once in a while, and getting the basic gist down is essential to saving your bacon.

Honors Chem (2023) was a tough class. A lot of memorization and mastery needed in order to get anywhere remotely to a good grade. Bates is nice tho and helps out as much as she can

tests are manageable but the reading quizzes are killing even if you genuinely do the twice. Writing papers is frustrating but Mrs. Boland is super helpful. Romeo and Juliet is the best unit.

ceramics 1 is super easy, he grades on your creativity and effort. quizzes are easy as long as you pay attention to demos, read the slides he posts, and watch the videos he sends out. as long as you are working on your project during class, you should have no problem finishing on time.

Honestly French is not a difficult class to get through if you try your best. The worst part is the grammar but Mme. Crosby is extremely patient and helpful. Try to learn vocab words and speak in class. Bonne chance!

do the daily breads in order to get full credit for what you do. no quizzes or tests. she uses quizizz. com for quiz grades, but you get three attempts and you can see what you got wrong and what the right answer is. overall, very easy class

for physics, make sure you pay attention during lectures and try to understand what she’s saying as she’s saying it. ask questions on the material and mastering physics, and she’ll explain. quizzes are important because they’re the bulk of the grades in between the quarter tests. you can turn stuff in late and she won’t take points off, but if she puts the grade in before you turn it in you just have to email her and apologize, and she’ll change it. do the homework even though they aren’t checked. quarter tests are the most important, there are two every semester. if you do really bad though, you can do test corrections and get points back for the problems you got wrong.

Watch out for pop quizzes! Tests are really long but all multiple choice and he curves them so just do your best and don’t overthink everything. Make a class groupchat in order to compare answers on the homework worksheets as it is difficult to find every single answer in the text book. Speaking of which, he doesn’t use it a lot in class but it is helpful to use to study.

When taking notes, start studying right after little by little each day because the class is mostly memorization and know very specific material because his quizzes are fill in the blanks no word bank and the questions are VERY VERY SPECIFIC. Lastly, before a test, read over the whole chapter because he picks very specific information to put on the test.

Tests are some of the hardest I’ve taken but still not impossible if you take good notes, go to study sessions, and read the textbook!!!! Quizzes are almost always just raw memorization, roughly 10-15 names, dates, or paintings. Projects/papers are interesting but there’s not very many.
