1) British Literature obviously has a lot to do with LITERATURE. Hence, make sure you actually READ the books assigned. 2) LISTEN carefully to class discussions. If it’s glazed over, it’s probably going to be a multiple choice question on the test. 3) UNDERSTAND how to write a paper. You’ll be writing a paper based on “MELCON”s (you’ll know what those are) every once in a while, and getting the basic gist down is essential to saving your bacon.
pay attention during lectures and take good notes, papers are more important than the tests, but tests are still very important. make sure you do the homework on time so that you can understand lectures. don’t forget about vocab, but if you do, you can take an extra unit at the end of the semester to make up your worst vocab grade.
tests are manageable but the reading quizzes are killing even if you genuinely do the twice. Writing papers is frustrating but Mrs. Boland is super helpful. Romeo and Juliet is the best unit.
