pay attention during lectures and take good notes, papers are more important than the tests, but tests are still very important. make sure you do the homework on time so that you can understand lectures. don’t forget about vocab, but if you do, you can take an extra unit at the end of the semester to make up your worst vocab grade.

1) Do NOT take the Humanities class! No matter what other teachers tell you, this class is even WORSE than an AP class in terms of work load! Save your sanity and GPA by steering clear of this turd of a class. 2) If you DO somehow land in Humanities, take REALLY GOOD NOTES AND STUDY THEM! This class demands that you learn every little detail about every single work of art you go over, even on the final! 3) MAKE SURE YOUR PAPERS ARE ROCK SOLID. Humanities is brutal when it comes to grading papers, but those are going to be your “gimme points” as compared to the tough-as-nails tests! 4) BEWARE OF THE SEMESTER-LONG ESSAYS. An extension of 3, this deals with the semester essays in particular. These will be especially graded harshly, so you need to be on guard for this. 5) KEEP YOUR GRADE UP. If your grade is low just before coming into the final, you are ABSOLUTELY screwed. The final will nuke your grade by a few points!
