Physics Honors: definitely not a class you can just sit back if you want to get an A or B. Tests are relatively difficult. Average amount of homework assigned. A lot of the learning you have to by yourself.

Don't memorize the english... If you want to retain your grammar skills by 11-12th year, you're gonna have to practice on your own. He expects you to know all the ins and outs of grammar by then and doesn't really take the time to go over it again.

APUSH: I know there's a lot of reading, but trust me, really trust me, you need to do the textbook readings every night and take notes. If you don't want to take notes, at least listen to the textbook's audio-recording. The textbook is super important, and I can't stress that enough. Other kids like to study using the AP Review book (because it's less dense than the textbook), and that's fine too, though I'd recommend the textbook higher. Reading is important. For each chapter, write a list of vocabulary to memorize. They'll be really helpful for your DBQ/LEQs. AP Human Geography: Very easy class if you actually pay attention. I recommend reading the textbook for the first 3-4 units, and then you can switch to online summaries or the AP Review book. The biggest thing in APHUG... vocabulary! For each vocabulary word, you should have 2 examples memorized. A lot of this class is vocabulary-heavy. Additionally, memorize your charts and graphs. The AP Test will have a lot of graphs, especially in AP Unit 7. Newhalfen typically doesn't do chapter/textbook tests. For APUSH, he only does Period tests, so you'll basically only do 9 big summative tests in his class. For APHUG, at the start, you'll have chapter tests, but soon you'll have big unit tests where you also need to know multiple information from chapters.

Mr. Rodrigo teaches Honors Geometry and Math 101. Regarding Honors Geo, he gives a big review packet at the beginning of each unit yet not all of questions on the review packet are on the test. The tests are worth 50 points yet only have 5-10 long questions on them. If you get even one question wrong, it can bring your A to a B. For this course, you need to star off strong and understand what he expects. The teacher is also a tough grader. Other then that, the course is relatively simple, especially with a strong algebra base.

Switch out of his class immediately. Use any excuse you can and leave his class. This class seems nice at first no homework and very easy until it’s isn’t. You will be warned on monday for the tests you have tuesday-friday 4 test in total with very little materials to study and no time at all to prepare. The tests will only come once in a while. Example you will have 4 weeks of studying for these test the day before each of them then no test for about a month. If you fail one or miss a test you better go to the testing center because he has no patience. You will have no homework but be ready to memorize every little detail. This class is all about memorizing. All your test will be 90% so if you fail one good luck! He has no structure to his class and is very unfiltered. Example you will get a visual example how Romeo died in the book. (not great... ) Be ready to get yelled at even if your doing nothing wrong or are quite and very attentive in his class. He has no patience and will call you names and yell harsh things at you. Don’t try and stand up to anything he says unless you want to be in trouble. This class is horrible and i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. (funny class thought)

If you want to succeed in this teacher's class, pretty much study for 2-3 hours every day, and have every single thing in the unit packets memorized. | But, if you want to succeed in a chemistry class overall, make sure you always do your homework, review every 2 days, take notes, and understand your mistakes on tests.

Very little of the test material is covered in class. You will have to have an advanced prior knowledge about this class do do well as the content on the tests maches nothing about what we learn in class. Tests often change from what was originally discussed. The homework does not reflect the exam and there is very little AP test preparation. In general this class is poorly structured and I would not recommend it.

Every day will have some combination of at least 1 of the 3 of German reading, writing, and listening. For German 3+, the class is taught in German, so there will at least be interpretive listening. There will be presentations every so often, I believe 3 presentations in German 4/4H/5.

There is a lot of memorization ex. order of planets, approximate placement of each, layers of the earth, rock types, etc. Even if you do well on the quizzes, make flashcards. Ms. Zenner seemed hesitant to give me the study guide before the quiz because the quiz is supposed to show you what you know, but I found it helpful to have a guide to review what we learned.
