APUSH: I know there's a lot of reading, but trust me, really trust me, you need to do the textbook readings every night and take notes. If you don't want to take notes, at least listen to the textbook's audio-recording. The textbook is super important, and I can't stress that enough. Other kids like to study using the AP Review book (because it's less dense than the textbook), and that's fine too, though I'd recommend the textbook higher. Reading is important. For each chapter, write a list of vocabulary to memorize. They'll be really helpful for your DBQ/LEQs. AP Human Geography: Very easy class if you actually pay attention. I recommend reading the textbook for the first 3-4 units, and then you can switch to online summaries or the AP Review book. The biggest thing in APHUG... vocabulary! For each vocabulary word, you should have 2 examples memorized. A lot of this class is vocabulary-heavy. Additionally, memorize your charts and graphs. The AP Test will have a lot of graphs, especially in AP Unit 7. Newhalfen typically doesn't do chapter/textbook tests. For APUSH, he only does Period tests, so you'll basically only do 9 big summative tests in his class. For APHUG, at the start, you'll have chapter tests, but soon you'll have big unit tests where you also need to know multiple information from chapters.

Newhalfen is a very fun old-schooled teacher. His teaching style is lecturing, and sometimes he will write key terms on the whiteboard, show us countries using his map, or give us notes on his Smartboard. His lectures are very interesting, this is the class where I never do work for other classes, because I really want to know what he says. It may seem like I'm a suck-up, but Newhalfen is a really GOATED teacher
