I absolutely loved this class. I would definitely recommend taking it. Ms. Berliner is extremely knowledgeable and passionate on the subject. I would take it again in a heartbeat. There is quite a bit of memorization and the course isn't necessarily easy for everyone, but I did fine by rereading the textbook chapters and taking notes right before each test.

Mr. Brown's classes are difficult. Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed by the work you have been given, but trust that his classes prepare you for university and work outside of school. I appreciate his methods of making his students hard workers. He knows what he is talking about.

I had Ms. Combs for US History as a junior and Gov/Econ as a senior. I came from AP World History (10th grade) into this class and the workload/pressure was farthest from overwhelming. Her teaching style of US History and Gov/Econ is very similar. Her instruction is very easy and she tries to explain everything in ways we would understand. The hardest part of her class is probably the exams, but if you study well and/or payed well attention in class, you won't have a problem. While the workload is light, she is VERY adamant about academic integrity (as a teacher should be). DONT CHEAT -its not that hard!

- Make sure to take meaningful notes because they're very helpful when studying for tests. - complete all the practice worksheets provided in the google drive for resources tab in classroom - don't search up the answers for worksheets or when working on labs (he'll know if you do) - try to complete the Pivot interactions during class so you don't fall behind - ask questions if you need help in the beginning or you'll fall behind

Don't give her a problem and you're all good. Make sure that you do all your work (there are partner checks) and make sure you always turn in your journal. CLEAN UP YOUR WORKSPACE WHEN DONE!

she grades really really hard and it moves pretty fast so stay on top of your work, do your homework, participate, study for tests. the class is very group oriented, you learn within your groups with the textbook. if you want to ask a question, office hours lines are super long (because everyone needs help because of the lack of teaching) so prioritize your time during class and make sure you understand because there is never a time during office hours that her line isn't to the back of the classroom. good luck and study hard

I had Mr. Sprek for both Health as a freshman and EMC as a senior, and I had a great experience in both classes. If you pay attention to what he teaches, you will be just fine. He always makes class enjoyable and is very transparent in his teaching. Specifically for EMC, there is a lot of memorization, quick thinking, and hands on required as the class mimics the sequence of an EMT on the scene. If you slack off, you will fall behind. It is rigorous, but worth it. I would 100% recommend this class even if you are not looking to be a 1st responder/doctor/nurse. You will learn lots of life skills that could save someones life!
