I took Health Science with Mr. McLane before COVID. His class was pretty average. You needed to put in the work to do well. There was a lot of memorization for the class and it was pretty structured. I did not find the class very interesting but it was doable.
Ms. Nguyen was not a great teacher. I had her for precalculus before COVID. She would use class time to talk about herself and things not related to the class. She was not easy to approach and was not very understanding of students. She tended to choose favorites and call on people. If people did not have an answer or were confused, she would make fun of them. The learning environment was not great, which made it hard to do well in the class.
I took Biology with Ms. Ramirez before COVID. The class was alright but Ms. Ramirez had a tendency to pick favorites. It was easier to do well when she picked you as a favorite/talked to her often. The class was a bit harder than it should have been in hindsight. It required quite some memorization and the grading was not always fair. In general, it was an average class.
