The class would be easier if I learned anything in algebra 2 and the CPM book wasn’t awful.
Memorize every damn word in the Campbell textbook chapter. At the end of each subsection, make sure you understand the content by doing the 2 - 3 exercises. Do the review questions at the end of the chapter. Do the Mastering Bio practices. Do the 50 question practice tests. You have lots of resources at your disposal. Use them.
DeVor rarely throughly goes through material, when I had his class he would just post short videos with example problems on google classroom and let us do it ourselves. I would recommend reviewing the material yourself using things such as khan academy, also be sure to memorize formulas since he will often not let you use calculators for his tests.
Make sure you take advantage of brunch/lunch times and actually talk to him. Mr. Dennis is an amazing, inspirational teacher who is very good at explaining difficult concepts, so make sure you ask lots of questions when you need help. Always document everything in your notebook, and use good handwriting!
Make sure you pay attention in class. Even when is he is talking about homework or the time frame before you start the next lesson. He gives information that will likely be on the test and gives you a clear understanding of what you need to do in order to solve the problem
