Good for a PE class. Teacher is nice and will let you walk if you're injured/especially tired. You can keep your phone (if it's reasonably small) in your PE shorts pocket and it won't fall out unless you jump around a lot.

- Memorize the vocab and definitions over the course of two or three days before the quiz. I did this by spending about five minutes reading my notes out loud (word, definition, word, definition) and progressing to trying to say the definition while covering it with my hand. It CAN be done the night before, but that won't get as good results. - Read about Spanish grammar outside of class. (I mean stuff like where the verb goes in questions. ) That's not a problem with the class so much as with all language education - there's too much focus on the mystical development of the language understanding in your brain or something and not very much focus on how you get there, which is learning the rules and then applying them. - Don't panic and do try not to get stage fright! If you screw up in your presentation, that's okay - just bulldoze over it. - Learn a lot about whatever you have to present about (do your research in whatever language you want to, but make sure you know how to say all the important words in Spanish). Then you only need light practice with phrasing and you don't have to memorize your entire speech. (I had okay Spanish, so you may have a different experience. Tailor what you do to what you experience. )

Make sure to take chemistry beforehand. Mrs. Catalano is not a very detailed teacher and misses out many points during class. If you want to make sure that you are doing okay, its best to learn from a second hand source.

This is based on my experience in Broadcast Journalism, Video Production, and Advanced Video Production Honors. The classes are all laid back and fun! Don't worry at all. As long as you are passionate and put effort into your projects, you will be fine.

Make sure you pay attention and do the homework and you should be able to get a B. To get an A you must have a solid understanding of concepts to navigate the tests which may require you to apply the knowledge in new ways.

World Classics H. - Expect to do a lot of reading and to do a lot of busywork presentations in class. He seems to think they help with understanding. For the busywork chapter presentations, he wants specific analysis of specific things, and you'll learn to ask leading questions to get him to tell you what he wants you to do. I don't think he's aware that that's what he's doing. For the chapter-by-chapter or scene-by-scene worksheets, he wants a bizarrely high amount of work. Try to rush through them in class. (This will lead to failing to make a good busywork presentation, but those don't seem to factor into your grade as much as the worksheets do. ) - He doesn't seem to have a good sense of how much can actually be done in fifteen minutes and so doesn't give you enough time to do the things he assigns. (The amount of time he has you work on the essays is good. I'm talking about the busywork described above. ) - Knows a lot about "Hamlet" and has weird opinions about "Jane Eyre. " With my class, we spent a good length of time on "Hamlet" and way too little time on "Jane Eyre. " This should have been a yearlong course with one more book, preferably from somewhere that isn't England. Anyhow, he goes really in depth on "Hamlet" and it's very, very fun. He could probably teach a full semester about it and it wouldn't be boring. He's clearly knowledgeable, even if his interpretations are sometimes laughable, and I'm glad I took his course.

I don't know how grading works for her other classes, but I had her for American Classics Honors. Make sure to participate in normal class discussions. It makes class more interesting, and she grades on participation. She also offers revisions on all writing assignments, so as long as you participate and show that you're a hard worker, you will be set.

You will get the most out of this class if you wholeheartedly, genuinely, actively engage (i. e. ask + answer questions, be curious, bring up interesting points during or after class, etc. ). A good grade is not difficult, but should absolutely not be your end goal.

There's usually no review sheet for tests so you have to refer back to the homework calendar. Equations are always given on tests but make to sure memorize vocabulary on the bottom of the calendar.

Keep all your notes. The tests/quizzes are all open note (at least online) and they directly are copied off of the notes. Basically an easy 100 if you keep and take notes when she tells you to during a lecture.

Based on English Honors 10 (name? ) and currently Philosophy. You're probably going to be fine! The English class reads at a fast clip, but I was able to keep up pretty well. The Shakespeare is read in class and you don't have Philosophy is a lot of material, but not a lot of reading. Most is presented by lecture, and she's a pretty engaging speaker. Most of the activities you do in class have a point.

If you want to do well in Woznicki's class (regardless of the level), you'll have to work really hard and research most of the information yourself (Watch YouTube videos, ask your friends and family, read articles, etc). I recommend the Amoeba Sisters and Bozeman Science. They have a video for practically every concept in Bio. She doesn't explain the concepts well, leaves out important details needed on the test and doesn't help students. I recommend studying A LOT for the tests and working together with classmates on the labs.
