This class is not easy however it is very beneficial and will teach you a lot!! It Honestly depends on the type of student you are. To get an A in the class you can’t just do the bare minimum but you have to go above and beyond. Make sure to pay attention to class discussions and do all of your homework as it counts for a big majority. Her quizzes are not easy and in order to get a good grade you need to understand the book you are reading. The grading in this class is hard so make sure you put in all ur effort for everything you do! Some people enjoy the class while other people struggle so it depends on what type of student you are :)
Ask questions, if you don't have the confidence to do so when the entire class is listening, then do so privately. She is almost always there during passing periods and before school too, if you want to talk to her then.
participation is a big part of this class. this teacher really values each students opinions on each subject in class. if you make yourself heard you will succeed in this class
Keep up with the readings. It's a lot easier said than done, but many people struggled to keep up with the nightly readings so when there were pop quizzes many people fail them. You could participate in her class, but the most you need to contribute is during seminars about the novel, which is a grade. There's lots of time to do work, so utilize that time to work on the homework or study for other classes, but if you don't want English homework use that class time.
Don't space out in class or you'll miss something critical. Excellent teacher, don't be afraid to ask questions
