For AP CSP, the class is basically up to you. Mr. Crow will teach you a topic, then have you apply it with a set of lessons on Code. org. You can move as slow or fast as you want, If you ever need help he is ALWAYS there to help, which is why he is my favorite teacher throughout high school. The PLTW Intro to programming class is pretty much the same. For AP CSA, be prepared for it to be a lot harder than the other two courses. He will probably have you open a couple of JAVA files with all your notes and examples on it, which I HIGHLY recommend. Those notes really helped me succeed.

Make sure to keep all of your notes handy. She doesn't go over old topics and she rarely ever has study/help sessions. Whenever she does, it is usually early before school. She also isn't good at explaining the math material that she teaches and she posts daily assignments, including on weekends. She also posts homework on each break and holidays. It always feels like you never have a break from her class and her homework is always in the back of your mind. If you study a lot, you should be able to get a B and possibly an A.

I had Maestra Fidel for Spanish II and Spanish IV, and both times have been a pretty enjoyable experience. She is a great teacher who clearly has a passion for her job. A lot of students tease her for that, but I honestly admire that. Someone who enjoys their 9 to 5 job? That's someone you don't come across often. It's a Spanish class, so of course you are required to memorize vocabulary, form sentences, and all the other key aspects of learning a language. I feel like she did a great job of always uplifting her students and trying to make her lectures interesting and topically relevant. Tests/quizzes were hardly ever given, but when they were given it was pretty easy. The class should be a breeze if you participate and listen!
