great teacher, but he teaches a bit fast in class so it may be hard to keep up. though quizzes (3 attempts) and assignments (mostly unlimited attempts) help with understanding the material (and boosting your grade! ), and the tests / final are a piece of cake compared to them. he posts all notes, sample tests / finals, tests + quiz + assignment solutions. the only way you can do poorly in his class is by not trying.
The class intro to world history is really easy to pass and the teacher is incredibly understanding. There are no slide presentations; we only took notes all throughout the session and reviewed them for exams. You have to be present to every class for the notes since they are not posted, but you can always ask another student or the teacher will give you a summary of the notes after class. Overall, the class was interesting, however it can be boring and difficult to stay attentive for 2 hours...
He's a good teacher and is always willing to help. However, most of his assignments are essays based, so you read a text he gives you and then you write your opinion on it or answer the question he asked, they're fairly easy to write. (There will be a lot of writing in this class). He's also almost willing to extend deadlines if you don't have time to submit your work. His exams are essays and you'll have at least 2 or 3 of those (I might be wrong). If you're a good writer and have good and reasonable opinions you'll do great in this class.
Very nice and kind teacher! All you need to do for her English courses is to read the short stories/ reading she gives, which aren't long at all (max was around 8 pages) and can be done in less than 15 minutes, 30 minutes if you take notes and highlight the reading. Practice paragraphs were made every other class, and short assignments were given at the end of class. Once you finish, you can leave as early as an hour before class ends! Overall, I would highly recommend her to anyone at Vanier!
