Experience based on online. The class is almost completely asynchronous, and lectures being labelled as minimal is an overstatement.
Every WEEK you have to read about a philosophy and write a response about it. If you are not able to do this every week. You will not succeed in the class. If you put the effort, you will. It is a lot of effort though.
Overall, the class could get boring if you do not show up with the right mindset. Indeed, you've got to WANT to learn if you're going to succeed, because the teacher only goes over the same slides seen in the homework...
Overall, the class was fine if you knew how to prepare in advance and took notes during each class, as some of the exams were on text already discussed in class. As we couldn't have anything else than the coursepack during the exams, the annotated texts were always a good starting point for your thesis!
The class is engaging and surprising. You are allowed to say what you think and really helps improve with writing and public speaking.
