I took 12 law with Mr. Bauer and it has been the most pleasant class experience I had. His class can tend to be a lot of work, HOWEVER all of his material is highly enjoyable. He approaches difficult and complex topics in a unique way and is always there to help when you are lost. Would definitely recommend his class for people that are willing to learn especially people with an interest surrounding law.

Talks a lot and FAST!! Take notes please! You will not regret it. Do not go through the powerpoints the night before the test, you will never get through them. Marks harshly. Take advantage of asking questions during tests. I once asked whether or not a question required one or two answers and instead of doing that, she looked over the question and guided me towards the right direction. To summerize, she hinted the right answer to me.

Try to find a piece of her writing and emulate it. She's very particular, does not like most peoples' writing and is tough to get a solid grade from. Ask questions about the assignment. Many. Be point-blank and specific. "Use big words"

I honestly enjoyed Ms. Lopes's ENG2D - JETS English class this year. Her teaching skills are to be admired and be commended. Her class was structured in a way that I have never seen in which the class content itself is very interesting and many topics are up for discussion such as romantic relationships, multiculturalism, social media, etc. The class itself wasn't that hard (this is pretty subjective as English is one of my strong suits) and she is a fair marker. If you're a decent writer, have an interest in the course content, regularly attend, and pay attention, you can do pretty well. The essays for my class were opinionated and were of great interest to me in which topics like fast fashion and the negative effects of social media were approved. We also participated in roundtables which were a very opportunity to have your voice heard! Overall, the course was very well formulated and I', m hoping to hear more positivity about Ms. Lopes and her great teaching skills!

Honestly, the course itself is a heavy workload and if youre expecting to be guided in some way shape or form, lower your expectations to zero because this class relies heavily on yourself to get through it because there’s a lot of self guided learning.
