Try to find a piece of her writing and emulate it. She's very particular, does not like most peoples' writing and is tough to get a solid grade from. Ask questions about the assignment. Many. Be point-blank and specific. "Use big words"

Class of 2020
This comment is moderated, so I'll use the most polite language I can. I have never had so much trouble with a teacher as I have with Ms. Ganer-Pringle. I thought I was petty until I took her class. Also, the content sucks. English is about expanding one's thinking and her class does not do that. She was my grade 12 teacher and was supposed to help prepare me for the challenges of universities. However, she wasted my time making me do assignments about topics and structure and definitions. Those are important, but doing 30 questions on parallel structure feels a tad excessive. She also has an irritating tendency to assume the class is stupid, she took 15 minutes to explain what a colon was. I believe she thinks her class matters more than others, she'll assign her needless but time-consuming assignments and make them due right after the functions exam because she can.
