Profe Swann is one of my favorite teachers at Newport. I took her class as a junior (while everyone else was a Spanish immersion freshman). In the first week, I talked to her in tutorial about how I was struggling to keep up and fit in with the rest of the class. She was extremely patient and throughout the year, I felt as though I could ask her for help whenever I needed it. Her lessons are intriguing (there was a unit on mental health in Spanish! ) and she really takes the time to know her kids.
