She is a very nice teacher. Her grading is hard, though. You can get by without stellar grades on the quizzes since usually they're not worth that much in comparison to the literary analysis, but make sure you do well on the literary analysis.

[English 10 HN Online] The quizzes are one of the hardest aspects of the class. Make sure to study/annotate/discuss the most relevant things to that topic. Make sure to not focus on broad ideas like settings or events and instead specific things like characters, definitions, and quotes. Paying attention is integral to this class. Taking notes and participating in discussions is a must and is oftentimes graded. Unlike other classes, simply staying on top of work is not enough to get an A-B, you have to go really specific and in-depth. For writings, it is recommended to collect as many details that were discussed to cover every part of the topic at hand. Oftentimes, the quantity of your work can sometimes translate into the overall quality. If you consider yourself a good student, it won't be rare to see D-F grades on some assignments.
