Be prepared to have to do a lot of self-study and extra homework. She is not good at getting the required information and its understanding through to students. Also, make sure to be very organized, since she hands out a lot of worksheets, and expects all of them to be turned in by the end of the unit.

I would say to complete the work you're given, it's not too much. Also, make sure to watch the news daily every other week at the minimum. This doesn't have to be a time-consuming event, NBC has daily news recaps that are only 20 minutes and CNN has a Top 5 list of current events.

There is a lot of writing in J2-4 and you need, don't leave your articles till the last minute and for easy online credit just write reviews (A&E is your best friend). Broadcast is much easier but always do your projects early.

She is a very nice teacher. Her grading is hard, though. You can get by without stellar grades on the quizzes since usually they're not worth that much in comparison to the literary analysis, but make sure you do well on the literary analysis.

Definitely stay on top of the coding required for the class because it all adds on top of each other. Work with your shoulder partner, but make sure you understand everything that's going on.

i loved this class. the teacher is very friendly and the class is very fun. almost everything u need to know is taught in class but sometimes u do need to take lots of notes so theres good amount of writings there
