I took IB Chemistry. If you are not good at math or science, do not take this class. If you're telling yourself, "I love a good challenge and I have a strong work ethic. " Who are you kidding? Don't stress yourself out unnecessarily. There were 2-3 labs overall for this class. A majority of it was comprised of calculations. The notes are not sufficient, so please look for other resources. Take GOOD notes. You're going to need them for the unit tests, trust me.

The only way you can really succeed in this class is to stay under the radar, do your work, don't complain or ask any questions and you should be okay. If you need help I would ask your classmates because they'll be better, and more willing, to answer your questions.

The class is more about writing than history. The criticisms on the classwork and homework are harsh. You need to memorize almost everything from your notes to write the in-class essays. Please take good notes. Also, most of the notes are taken from Edpuzzles. There are not any lectures in class, only for homework. Most of the class time is dedicated to writing, which does not make sense since it is a history class. If you are not a good writer, do NOT take this class.

I took IB Language and Literature HL I. It was pretty good. There was a decent amount of writing, not a lot though. You have to do the IO, which isn't that hard as others make it out to be. There were plenty of resources for help. If you are not confident in English, don't take this class.

I took creative writing and I loved it. It was a fun and interesting class. Let's just say that I didn't die from boredom. Obviously, you have to do a lot of writing. But why would you take creative writing if you didn't want to write?

I took IB French SL I. The class is not very challenging for IB. There are not a lot of assignments. Mainly, class time is spent explaining upcoming assignments rather than doing any actual work. You will do a review every so often with a video or an asynchronous assignment (virtual learning). Overall, the class is boring. It's not engaging.

I took IB Global Politics SL. If you are not interested in current events or politics, then do not take this class. This class requires a lot of writing. The unit tests require essay responses and short paragraph answers. You need to take good notes and memorize them. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR CASE STUDIES!! Case studies are good to have on tests. The engagement activity, or the internal assessment for the class, is a pain. I had to complete it during quarantine, so it was nearly impossible. You need to engage in political action, so please start it in advance and read over all the requirements. If you do not have a strong work ethic, do not take this class.
