His class is very fast-paced, and you need to keep up. Often the only teaching he does is off of a slide show, and you're on your own from there. Strongly recommend review what you learned daily, instead of cramming all the information the night before a quiz or test. He is helpful when you are confused about a subject, but it isn't always as clear. Also strongly recommend watching YouTube videos such as Amoeba Sisters, which has tons of helpful videos, to help understand concepts even better. This class requires a lot of memorization, using flashcards or Quizlets will be very beneficial.

For biology, definitely do the work!! He'll present slideshows almost everyday and I encourage you to take notes that YOU can understand, don't just copy them. I also recommend that you do something every night, his tests are based off the labs, and notes and so frequent review of the material is key to succeeding in the class.

Mr. Chiarolanza has a good sense of humor and often is a fun teacher. The class overall is a very laidback class, but expectations are still to get work done. Personally, I did not exactly enjoy his teaching style, but his style may work for others. He mainly taught through slideshows, which was helpful for me to learn the basic understandings, but overall I had to do a lot of learning on my own time to fully understand the subject.

Mr. C is soo funny, he makes very cheesy dad jokes but you know the environment is very positive. I you're taking honors bio though, don't expect to get an A if you're not gonna do the work. Freshman mainly have him for bio ad they always complain that it's "so hard", but don't put effort into studying and completing the assignments.
