I took AP Psychology with Mr. Davis in 2018-2019 as a junior. Make sure you do the reading guides if you want to know all of the information on the test. Many things on the test are from the reading guide and you don't necessarily talk about them much if at all during class unless you have a question. During the class, he goes over some parts of the reading guide and new information, usually in powerpoints which he later puts on schoology. In this class you do a lot of partner and group activities, both quick things and bigger projects, I would say almost every day. You also do a lot of fun experiments, some involving Skittles and Hershey kisses. Every test/quiz has a multiple choice section and most tests have a written question with multiple parts. For about a week-ish after a test grade is posted, he lets students come in and fix all of the multiple choice questions that they missed for half credit on them. The tests and quizzes themselves are difficult but he gives enough projects and opportunities to gain more points easily that it is generally easy to get a good grade (A or B) without giving full effort, plus the extra AP weight.

Some people say that Mr. Davis is boring and Mr. Baker is a much better psych teacher. I think they are both good. Although Davis isn't as crazy, his class is still super fun especially if you also have fun and talkative kids in your class. I would have rather been in Davis because some of my friends who had Baker said some of the activities and "challenges" they did in his class made them kind of uncomfortable or awkward as not extremely outgoing people, for activities like rap battles and such that you have to do in front of the whole class. Davis does not do things like that. Davis is super nice and fun, he always wears a fun tie and socks. He talks about his 3 daughters a lot but its not annoying or anything. Also people usually end up talking about his wife, mainly because she is also a teacher a few classrooms down the hall. She also buys his nice clothes for him lol. I would recommend him as a teacher.
