To do well in this course you must do your homework or you will not know how to do anything. She rarely has practice days in class. The usually cycle of what we do in class for every chapter is notes, quiz or graded class assignment, notes, quiz or graded class assignment, 1 or 2 review days, and test. Most people tend to do worse in her class compared to other teachers because she does not give practice days, only a few review days. Her notes are also mainly just copying down. This class was particularly difficult for my learning style because for notes she just did the problem and went on to the next without explaining or writing down the steps of it so you would mainly just have to attempt to model future problems off of the problems in the notes or would have to find another source for an explanation. I think her teaching style needs work. If you stay after school one on one with her she is helpful though. I took CP Trig and Precalc in 2018-19 as a junior.

I took AP Psychology with Mr. Davis in 2018-2019 as a junior. Make sure you do the reading guides if you want to know all of the information on the test. Many things on the test are from the reading guide and you don't necessarily talk about them much if at all during class unless you have a question. During the class, he goes over some parts of the reading guide and new information, usually in powerpoints which he later puts on schoology. In this class you do a lot of partner and group activities, both quick things and bigger projects, I would say almost every day. You also do a lot of fun experiments, some involving Skittles and Hershey kisses. Every test/quiz has a multiple choice section and most tests have a written question with multiple parts. For about a week-ish after a test grade is posted, he lets students come in and fix all of the multiple choice questions that they missed for half credit on them. The tests and quizzes themselves are difficult but he gives enough projects and opportunities to gain more points easily that it is generally easy to get a good grade (A or B) without giving full effort, plus the extra AP weight.

I had her for CP Chemistry as a junior 2018-19. She no longer teaches this class. She assigned multiple 2+ page double sided packets every week before she even teaches us about the subject that is on it. She has given us a 7+ double sided packet before. They are so confusing and if you want to get a good grade on them then you have to stay after school for hours and get her to help you. Most of the time when you ask questions though, she just tells you to look at your notes and doesn't give you a real answer. Very few people got As for any marking periods. Class periods consisted of dull notes, confusing labs, or forced group activities. You usually do not get to choose your group but you do get to choose your lab partner. Very strongly do not recommend you take this class from her. If you are taking this class optionally and you get her, drop! It is awful. And this is coming from an A and B student who usually take honors courses but wanted something easier for this year...

I took CP US history from Mr Wagner in 2018-19 as a junior. I would recommend having him for this class. He knows that other teachers give us a ton of homework so he gives us plenty of time to complete our notes packets during class. He sometimes gives us projects that we have to do out of class that are due the next day but those shouldn't take more than an hour. He does not give us those more than once a month if even that often. He also gives us review guides during tests with almost the exact questions that are on the test which is super helpful. Sometimes he lets us use our reviews, notes, or books on the tests. If you do the review guides it is very easy to do well on the test. We watch CNN10 almost every day and have quizzes on it almost every week. This class is easy from him and I would recommend having him for this class.
