The tests aren't at all easy and are written in a riddle-like way. The teacher has a separate grade at the end of each quarter called "PORE points" which are out of 50 and are mostly on optional work, which is good for people who struggle but also is hard for most students who have extracurriculars. The only real reviews are via Kahoot, and I've only gotten one study guide in this class. You have a folder for all the papers to study from, but they are mostly for finals and mid-terms so they don't help at all.

I am in his advanced class. There is a lot of work to do in this class and it feels like college prep. I would advise to stay well organized, write everything done, always do the enrichment, and never miss classwork or homework assignments.

I would definitely say make sure you don't have much space in your binder for things to get lost because he hands out a lot of sheet paper with little computer work.

You need a binder badly for this class, and I wouldn't bother with getting any tabs or dividers as you usually throw out a lot of papers at the end of the unit.

He gives out too many papers to stay well organized and it is very easy to lose/misplace papers. When you lose the papers, it will affect your grade and he will get mad at you. The tests are extremely hard and very few people get A's. He often asks unrelated questions to his class for a star. At the end of each quarter, the stars add up and determines if you get bonus points or not. To contribute to this, he rarely answers questions that you have about assignments, notes, and what you are doing in class. Instead of answering, he says something like, "Read the directions again" or "You should have paid attention in class". I understand that us as students should put forward our best efforts and pay attention. But as the teacher, he should make a better effort to help us towards success instead of making you figure it out on your own. He is a nice teacher, but he is very passionate about his subject.

I really wish he would start moving forward to technology and stop handing out so many papers because it makes it really hard to keep track of everything he gives and then he will get upset if you lost the papers sometimes. If he continues to hand out many papers it would be nice to have some sort of color code for the papers like he does with the gold but for all the papers. The tests seem long sometimes and short others and it's hard to study because of the number of papers he hands out they can get mixed up if you don't remember which notes to study especially with all of the other classes on top of science.
