I had a great experience with this class, almost no essays are required for a testing grade and most work is given online. You don't need a standard 2-inch binder as listed on the materials needed, as the teacher doesn't give many papers out, but you'll want to at least have some note paper to write down notes. I find that writing notes is way better than looking at the slides he gives out, but it depends on how you study. Overall, great class and tests are easy to study for.

The class has lots of assessments, projects, political cartoons, etc. This also means lots of points with 350 to 400+ every quarter. The midterm and final, at least for me, were skill-based, meaning that you can't study for it (It's comprehension) Memorization is a pretty big part of this class, in my opinion. For every quiz/test, I would say you should use slideshow notes/study guides to study for them. If you want to be excessive, I'd recommend reading the book as well.
