Make sure that you proofread your essays or you're not passing her class. The essays are so easy to tank and get a B or a C. Reading checks or actively learn are not that bad and are easy to pass.

While the amount of papers that you get in this class aren't that crazy, she grades pretty hard. However, she's a great teacher to have and a really fun person to be around. Even she's aware of how demanding and tedious the work can be at times, and empathizes, which is something I respect. It's hard, but you do learn how to analyze text a lot better. Plus, the books you have to read are usually interesting and hooks you. Have fun with Actively Learn though, that's hell.
