Be creative- she is very flexible and open to your ideas on how you can complete the assignment and is always rooting for you.

If you're taking AP Lang, cross your fingers that you get her because she is ten times easier, nicer, and more supportive than the other teachers. For 9th Lit and Comp the curriculum is really chill, she has a lot of open ended assignments (like podcasts or "write about anything at all that happened in the last year" or make a speech/drawing/book/essay/poster/whatever you want), provides lots of examples, and keeps the curriculum current (often touching on current events). She encourages students to submit their work to the NYT student contests and will often base the assignments off of them (I think she works on some teacher board there). Overall very nice tries to build connection with the students and has lots on one-on-one check ins on assignments for feedback before you have to turn a big assignment in.
