The majority of the test material is not reviewed in class. Mr. Finn covers the most cursory information possible and just expects you to be able to know how to do physics. If you're planning on taking AP Physics 1, switch out of Mr. Finn's class—you're not going to be able to do well on the exam unless you learn everything on your own.

For AP Physics 1 you are literally going to have to teach yourself everything through Khan Academy. The videos he posts to help you teach are the same ones he gives for his Regular Physics classes, which are way too easy and only help you understand the basics of a concept. Make sure to watch videos from Crash Course and Khan Academy that actually explain things to an AP level so you don't fail any of the tests or the AP Test. The questions he gives out in class are AP level questions, which do help, but in terms of learning all the concepts at the AP level it's going to have to be done through you teaching yourself and just asking Mr. Finn questions. If you don't teach yourself you're going to fail the tests and not be able to do the questions he gives out in class.

Mr. Finn is rather apathetic and does not really care that he doesn't prepare you well for the AP level of physics. If you get him, good luck.
