Ms. McClean is the most entertaining and passionate teacher I have ever had. This woman knows her stuff more than any of the other History teachers at this school (I did not have most of them and I have heard many great things ab most the history teachers but my point is she is a genius seriously super smart. ) Some days she would go on rambles about current events which was always fun and she would randomly yell in class and act stuff out which was just funny. She retired this year but she is the definition of a Schreiber legend and I hope that she returns to sub for classes every once in a while because seeing her zoom through the hallways was always a fun sight and I miss her. In class we went into depth. DEPTH like we dug deep into various presidents and their terms which was really interesting and I feel like I actually learned a ton in her class. Plus we did not get that much homework just some DBQs and assignments here and there but everything was doable. I should have studied more for some of the tests tho not gonna lie bc they were pretty difficult but helped prepare us for the AP. Overall had a nice year with her. Probably raised my hand no more than ten times possibly less but honestly that is the most I ever raised my hand in a class in high school so she had me very engaged. Now I can name all the racist presidents like Andrew Johnson, Theodore Roosevelt, Wilson, etc and talk about the impacts of Vanderbilt and Carnegie and worship LBJ and Obama. I usually feel like I haven't learned anything by summer but it is October of the next school year and I still remember a good amount so I would say so far so successful. Anyway, if you are somehow reading this Ms. McClean just know you mean a ton to this school and the students you have taught. We will never forget you or many of the lessons you have taught and you have helped us become greater thinkers and people. You have helped raise generations and that is really incredible and something to be proud of. Thank you for everything.

To succeed for this class, although it is super stressful the whole year, a lot of studying is required, textbook reading and taking notes. She is very tough and the grading is tough as well so it's important to be on top of everything and try your hardest.

She uses very obscure questions, but they're usually easy to find on quizlet. She usually gives one test a quarter, which makes everyone's averages drop. So, I would try to do well on the test but also stay on top of homework to help your grade. Her teaching is not useful for the AP at all.
