READ the books! If there are reading quizzes you will not do well on them without reading. For the essays, periodically ask the teacher for his/her thoughts, and they will give you great suggestions.
Class of 2020
The class he teaches currently is Creative Writing. As a writer, you have to be well prepared for conflicts in your writing and improvisation skills must be high. You more often than not are writing to create a picture for him to enjoy as he reads. All essays and homework assignments are out a 100. Anything you miss is a fatal blow. Classwork is easy to catch up on.

Class of 2021
My experience was okay in this class. I felt like the grading system could have been more transparent, although I ended up satisfied in the end. Class discussions were abundant but I felt like they were biased. The homework isn't too bad, often just writing a paragraph or two each night or reading. Good luck!! You got this!!
