From my personal experience, I've only had Mr. Berger for Psychology. But in that particular class, the only thing you need to do in order to succeed is finish the (infrequent) homework assignments and do the projects. If necessary, you should also consider studying the material before quizzes if need be. However, I personally haven't needed to, and I got by with a 100 average.

Pay attention to the teacher, don't miss school cause your grade will tank since he puts 1's in each time you absent.

Note: this is for her HONORS classes. -memorize everthing the day it's taught. You WILL NOT pass the tests if you cram. -Use flashcards and quizlet to help memorize -if you can recite the packet word for word, you'll do fine on the tests, but you have to understand the material and connect ideas too -there isn't a lot of outside work (whatever you don't do in class id HW) but memorizing everything will take up 100% of your time -READ THE TEXTBOOK. Every once in a while there will be something on the test that you could've only known from the textbook -get the regents review book in the beggining of the year for review for your tests -know your info inside and out -class is like a college lecture: you sit in the dark and take notes. Develope a method to keep concentrated. -If you don't like your assigned seat ask to sit somewhere else, because otherwise you will sit there for the rest of the year -don't be a class clown. She doesn't like that.

The tests could be really hard at times and fast based. The homework was pretty reasonable and he said if it would take us more than 45 minutes we don't need to finish it. The tests are 90% of the grade but all honors math classes do that. We would get test review sheets but sometimes there was stuff on the homework and not on the review that would be included.

-Ms. O can be disorganized and all-over-the place at times, so it's important to keep track of things yourself and ask questions, as well as do some outside-class learning if her teaching style doesn't work for you. -Good to take your own notes with more details than she covers for the regents exam -She has been known to skip over things so binge-study before the regents exam, becuase there will be things on there that she doesn't cover -don't be afraid to stay after school and ask for help, she's very welcomign and genuinely loves her job

-take the honors class. Just do it. It's easier and the teacher is better. If you take ONE honors class your entire school career, let it be honors chemistry. -you will have to do a lot of outside work, unreasonable amounts at times, in order to understand the material... and even then it's almost impossible -ask smart kids for help, not the teacher. Students are better at explaining it than him -you can't cram for this class, make sure you understand the material covered each class the day that it's taught -Khan academy is your lifeline -take advantage of the extra credit oppertunities
