While you will learn a lot, this class starts off very fast. Assuming you came from Seven Bridges, you will probably be behind on the necessary vocab, as Bell learned much more, meaning your first month will be very difficult. However, if you put in the effort, then you will catch up. Also, make sure that you are on top of your grammar from the beginning, as it is cumulative, you will need these new tenses for the rest of the year. Finally, I suggest reviewing basic vocab such as weather and dates, as you probably have not used these very much in middle school, but they will very quickly become important.

To succeed in this class I would have a good attitude and make sure you are comfortable working with others. In his classes you are paired randomly with other kids to work on projects that span many cycles.

You NEED to pay attention in class, and you will be completely fine without much outside studying. Many of the questions on his tests are based on things he talks about in class. He also hands out very useful review sheets for each test, so you don't have to worry about not knowing what to study. Make sure you are in class on lab days, you do not want to miss those because he gives out a lot of important information.
