You are expected to memorize a lot of stuff. Mr. Carlin goes over topics briefly and expects you to know it before the tests. Always just be a conscientious students to earn easy academic preparedness points, includes not playing games and at least pretending to look interested. He does Socrates seminars and even if you participate once or no times, you get at least an A- because he's a cool teacher. All test material is reviewed in class but you do have to do your own studying if you really need to pass. However, 100 academic preparedness points each year can give you an A- or an A in the class even if you fail his tests.

Just pay attention. Mr. Carlin will give you advice on how to succeed in his own class and will always make sure to teach you everything you need to know for the tests. But he won't chase you down if you are the one not paying attention.

Mr. Carlin assigns a not a lot of homework, but when he does, it’s usually big and will take the week he before assigns it to do it. Don't forget To do it because of the 2-5 assignments he assigns (per marking period), they account for 15% of your grade.

will mention something once and expect you to know it, always write down questions from the do now because he will almost always have those on the test, no quizzes - just tests, is very nice and you can do whatever you want if you are lucky enough to be in his enrichment

Hes a goated teacher and he lets you play games in the back of the class, best social studies teacher ever. Also, he sometimes tells you about his life story and the New York Knicks for the whole class period, but it depends if you want to or dont want to pay attention
