I took AP Stats with her. She assigns textbook homework for every class but she doesn't check it unless it's a problem set packet. Stats is logic based and requires you to think. You must know how to utilize your graphing calculator to its max potential(don't worry, she goes over this). Tests are half multiple choice and half free response. I found the multiple choice mostly ok with a few challenging ones here and there. Grading on free response is quite stringent and you must use exact wording. My advice is to practice all the material she gives you, memorize her "scripts", and look up videos on Youtube, understanding the topic deeply will help you on the MCQ. I got a 90-something in this class.

You have to pay attention. And actually be attentive. I was attentive but I still managed to do bad on the tests.

At least for her AP Statistics class, make sure to remember each unit before moving on to the next one, because the content more or less builds on previous knowledge. Also, textbook usage is annoyingly high.

She is so unintentionally funny I loved her. She has taught stats for over 20 years and I think she is a terrific teacher. Many people found her lectures were boring, and I admit I've spaced out more than a couple times, but you're not here to have fun, you're here to learn. You can get away with sleeping in her class she doesn't care. She prepares you well for the AP exam, I didn't study at all for it and was able to manage a 4.

Mrs. Vallies is one of the most average teachers I've ever had; not bad, not necessarily good. Vallies is rather busy with her work, and doesn't have a lot of time to answer questions or to grade items promptly. She certainly teaches the content, not in the most interesting way possible, but also with competency in trying to keep everyone on track. I definitely learned from her class in a non-displeasing way, so I'd say she's overall fine.
