If you just do the assigned work in the class and to pay at least some attention to class, you can easily get an A. Unlike other language classes, his German class isn't heavy at all with memorization or anything of the like. Tests/quizzes are generally infrequent, and you shouldn't expect a lot of homework. A large portion of his class' grades will come from classwork.

Herr Graff is an extremely nice and competent teacher, and I would recommend taking his course if it is a consideration. The class isn't designed to be difficult, but rather to passively teach you German by a combination of written and audio material. As long as you pay attention in class, you'll do extremely well. If you don't care so much for German, then it'll be an easy A. If you do care about it any time throughout the year, reach out to him and ask for some extra help, as he truly cares about his students' success and will give them the resources they need to succeed.
